This page explains all your options for sending me a TiVo if you wish for it to be hardware modified by me. Remember, if you are happy with the TiVo being totally stock and are only going to be using one external input source then there is no need to get it hardware modified. However if you need more than one external input and cannot do the hardware modifications yourself then I am more than happy to help.

Getting Your TiVo Sent To Me For Modification Direct From The Seller
You are most welcome to get the TiVo shipped direct to me for modification from the seller, be it a local person or a TiVo you have purchased from overseas. Please be aware that if you wish to do this that you are responsible for the overall condition of the TiVo, shipping method, and costs to get it to me. For overseas purchased TiVo's this also means any Customs issues too. It is very rare for there to be any Customs issues if a copy of the auction or an invoice with YOUR name on it is included with the TiVo, however if any issues arise then you will be notified by me and it will be YOUR responsibility to work it out with Customs. I will not be responsible for the loss or damage of a TiVo so please make absolutely sure you are comfortable with how it gets shipped to me beforehand. If this seems unreasonable then simply get the TiVo sent to you, and then once you receive it and are satisfied it is healthy you then send it to me. Quite simply: I try to help wherever possible but I won't be left "holding the bag" if any issues arise. You purchased it, you are responsible for it's delivery to me if you choose to send it direct to me.
* For all overseas purchased TiVo shipments there is a maximum of ONE TiVo per shipment unless you have absolutely worked out with the seller a "minimal dollar value" for the goods. You can in some cases get two TiVo's shipped in the one box if you work out an agreed Customs declaration cost with the seller BEFORE shipping. Remember that Customs import duty threshold for postal items is $499AUD for goods value AND shipping costs combined. The threshold can also be MUCH LESS than this with a courier. FedEX for example is $250AUD total goods and shipping. Make absolutely sure first. Also remember that USPS "Surface" mail, while cheaper, is usually 6 to 8 weeks but can be up to 12 to 14 weeks in peak times. "Airmail" is usually within 14 days but can be up to 21 days in peak times. Do not believe what the USPS website quotes for shipping times it is rarely correct. If you do not know the current exchange rate between other dollar currencies and Australian dollars please use www.xe.com/ucc or similar.
Sending Me A TiVo You Already Have For Modification
If you have already purchased a TiVo and have had it sent direct to you then I'm more than happy for you to onsend it to me for modification. For this I do not need any leads, remote, hard disk or networking card as I have all this to fully test your TiVo after modification. It will save on shipping weight and stress on the hard disk.
If you leave the hard disk installed I will not touch it. Do not attempt to include a hard disk on the chance I will set it up as I use my own hard disks for testing the modification work. It is YOUR responsibility to do anything software related.
